Victoria Pougatch and Mary Alexander met in 2010 while studying for an MA in Creative Writing. Their friendship is built on a love of language, words, reading and writing. Combining forces to become Pougatch Alexander Limited was a natural extension of their daily lives as writers, editors and podcast producers.
Areas of particular interest include memoirs, history, health and business, but generally they just find people fascinating and love coaxing out their stories. They firmly believe that a family history or memoir – written or audio - is the perfect portrait in the 21st century.
Victoria Pougatch is a writer with experience editing and writing websites, documentary pitches, brochures and books. She has worked as a literary agent, a secondary school English teacher and has an MA (with distinction) in Creative Writing and writes fiction in her spare time.
She is a director of Saddleback Media Ltd, has written for newspapers and produced both podcasts and online training videos.
Mary Alexander has been writing books for twenty years. She has a business degree, a journalism qualification and an MA in Creative Writing, awarded with distinction. She has ghostwritten several memoirs, including one that became a Sunday Times bestseller.
She has also written fiction, including a novel, Mrs Betjeman, about the life of Penelope Betjeman, wife of the well-known poet laureate.
